LAX LAMP Utilities & Enabling Project (LULEP) – Progressive Design-Build

The Myers-Griffith team, a Joint Venture between Myers & Sons Construction and Griffith Company, was awarded the contract with Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) for a $300M/3-year LAMP Enabling Projects CMGC. Myers-Griffith will provide utility relocations, demolition and street reconstruction with a series of Progressive Design-Build and CMAR task orders that the joint venture will design and construct in partnership with T.Y. Lin International.

The two-stage LAMP Enabling Projects Procurement included both a Statement of Qualifications and Team Interviews, with Mission Critical supporting the joint venture for both phases of the procurement. Mission Critical delivered a winning proposal document in a competition against large industry competitors by facilitating team focus groups to clarify approaches and alternatives, creating technical graphics, and developing thorough technical and narrative content to set the Myers-Griffith team apart.

With this pursuit win, the Myers-Griffith JV will be part of LAWA's multi-billion dollar, revolutionary update to the ground transportation system at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP) includes several major elements, including a landside Automated People Mover (APM), a Consolidated Rent-A-Car (CONRAC) facility, multiple Intermodal Transportation Facilities (ITFs), and a comprehensive network of roadway improvements. The Myers-Griffith JV work on the LAMP Enabling Project CMGC is a vital "first step" for the overall program.
