Continuing Our Success in Central Oregon

As Pursuit Managers, Mission Critical again joined Taylor NW for a decisive project win in Bend, OR. The City selected Taylor NW for the Neff Road and Purcell Boulevard Improvements Project using a best-value, one-step selection process. The Neff Road and Purcell Boulevard Improvements Project is the eighth Alternative Delivery selection in Central Oregon for the Mission Critical + Taylor NW team since 2019.

The project scope includes widening all four approaches to the intersection including dedicated bicycle lanes, significant grade work to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) mandates, and sewer and stormwater reconfigurations. Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) was a critical concern with the project’s proximity to the St. Charles Medical Center and Pilot Butte Middle School and the need to ensure continuous first responder, pedestrian, transit, and bicyclist through-access during the construction period.

This best-value award comprises two projects – the Neff Road and Purcell Boulevard intersection improvements and the Purcell Boulevard extension to connect Purcell Boulevard between Holliday Avenue and Courtney Drive, completing a vital north-south connection within the region.

Mission Critical has consistently produced solid work that meets the unique needs of each project, answers the owner’s questions, and positions us as the right team to deliver a best-value, community-friendly project.
