Dick Anderson Construction, Inc. (DAC) selected Mission Critical to manage this MDT Alternative Delivery CMGC pursuit. Mission Critical and the Dick Anderson team met an aggressive schedule set by MDT to first shortlist, then collaboratively develop the highest scoring Technical Proposal against a field of eight competitors from the Montana vertical construction market. With Mission Critical interview preparation, the DAC team then ranked highest in the CMGC interview process.

New Client Team and a Design-Build Win

Mission Critical was enlisted to support Dick Anderson Construction (DAC) and their partner, WGM Engineering (WGM), in developing a technical proposal as part of the second phase of this MDT Alternative Delivery Design-Build pursuit. By leading a rapid and intensive planning, writing, and revisioning process over a short 3.5 weeks, Mission Critical helped DAC earn a shortlist position. Mission Critical then prepared DAC/WGM for the MDT Design-Build interview, helping position them as the best-value contractor to secure the $8.8M win through a combination of technical approach and price.

Highly Competitive Shortlist in WA

This $120M Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) US 101/SR 109 Grays Harbor/Jefferson/Clallam Fish Barriers Removal Project is a doorway project to a larger program of fish barrier removals in the state of Washington. This Progressive Design-Build Alternative Delivery project will design and correct the first 29 of 413 culverts currently blocking migration passage for salmon and steelhead runs.

Connect Sarpy: A CMGC Shortlist in Kiewit’s Backyard

The $65M 180th & Giles Area Roadway Infrastructure CMGC is located in Sarpy County, Nebraska, less than 25 miles from Kiewit’s Omaha corporate offices. This project is part of the CONNECT Sarpy program, led by the Sarpy County Public Works Department (County). The program includes approximately 75 projects over six fiscal years. Against a competitive local market, Mission Critical supported Kiewit’s team to successfully shortlist for Phase 1 of this pursuit.

Walsh-Myers represents a solid team comprised of two expert firms that are both individual clients of Mission Critical. The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) District 2 selected the Walsh-Myers JV as the Best Value proposer for this $130M Sacramento River Bridge Overhead Deck Replacement and Dunsmuir Gap CMGC. The Walsh-Myers team demonstrated their strengths in bridge replacement, roadway construction, and UPRR rail coordination throughout this two-stage Alternative Delivery procurement.

Caltrans District 7 Shortlist

Myers-Condon Johnson, a Joint Venture (Myers-Condon Johnson) was a finalist for this California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) District 7 Slope Restoration CMGC. This two-stage alternative delivery procurement included a Statement of Qualifications and an Interview that was held virtually due to COVID-19 health and safety restrictions. The project constructs two secant pile retaining walls and performs permanent restoration for damaged slopes at two separate sites along the Pacific Coast Highway (Highway 1), totaling approximately 800 linear feet.

Caltrans District 2 CMGC Win

The Myers-Shea, a Joint Venture team (Myers & Sons Construction and J.F. Shea Company), was selected by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) District 2 for this $52M Yreka Roadway Rehabilitation Construction Manager/General Contractor project through a single-phase procurement. This is the first Alternative Delivery CMGC procurement for District 2; the first CMGC win for J.F. Shea’s Redding Division; the 9th CMGC win for Myers & Sons of Sacramento; and the 3rd Caltrans CMGC win for the Mission Critical team.

Pursuing Sustainable Transit in Las Vegas

Mission Critical responded to an urgent request from Aeromovel Nevada, a joint venture between Aeromovel Brasil and Marcopolo, regarding the Call for Preliminary Proposals for the new $220M Sky Tram people mover project. The people mover is part of the much larger $935M Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) District Phase Two Expansion. Although Aeromovel Nevada had already written their Statement of Proposal in response to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) Alternative Delivery Design-Build procurement, they contracted Mission Critical to deliver an eight-page, stand-alone Executive Summary to accompany the proposal that was to be submitted in less than 10 days.
