This Holiday season, Mission Critical staff had the chance to participate with St. Vincent DePaul charities to benefit underserved families in our community.
Managing Partner RoAnn Thorne explains why it was important for Mission Critical to outreach to the local community, “Phoenix has a unique mix of public spaces shared by neighborhood, business and community partners. With our new offices just north of Downtown Phoenix and adjacent to the Roosevelt Row Arts District, we have a unique opportunity and responsibility to help members of the community that are experiencing hardship for any reason.”
Administrative specialist Dawn Ferguson coordinated the collection of needed items from our team members in Phoenix, North Carolina, and Vancouver, BC. “We had a fantastic effort that demonstrated how committed and caring our team was of others.” Mission Critical’s local team took a Friday afternoon in mid-December to deliver six boxes of toys, gift cards, personal items, work wear, and food to our adopted family.
Mission Critical focused other holiday activities on building a sense of thankfulness and community and included;
- The creation of our new gratitude wall. Staff uses multi-colored post-it notes in an unstructured but conscious effort to “practice” gratitude – highlighting positivity in our personal and professional lives.
- Great Holiday Bundt Cake Bake-off. This year we featured several cakes by staff members learning to bake gluten-free.
- Gingerbread Competition. Creative people make creative gingerbread creations and this year was no less, with team members and their families nationwide participating.
Mission Critical again provided support to the Sojourner Center, Gabriel’s Angels, and the Canucks Autism Network as well as local various schools.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated in our efforts to support others this holiday season. Thank you for your generosity!
Mission Critical wishes our clients, employees, and families a wonderful holiday season.
