A few weeks ago, from November 7-9, Mission Critical took a trip across the Mississippi to attend the 2018 Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) conference held in the vibrant city of New Orleans. As DBIA members and Proposal Management Specialists, we are supporters of alternative delivery and the continuous development and improvement of these procurement methods. By attending the DBIA conferences, we are part of the national conversation on Design-Build delivery and stay current on industry trends, innovations, and observations from owners, architects, engineers, and contractors.
We flew our entire office team and remote team members into the Crescent City to participate in this vital industry conference. Mission Critical hosted a booth, attended talks and meetings, developed relationships, and – most importantly – we raffled off a fully constructed LEGO® Technic 42082 Rough Terrain Crane.
This realistic crane was no ordinary plaything. The Rough Terrain Crane is the tallest and largest crane LEGO offers and is complete with realistic motorized functions, including 4-wheel steering, 4-wheel drive, and a detailed V8 engine with moving pistons and fan. Mission Critical’s management team spent hours assembling this 4,057-piece machine that garnered a fair share of attention at our booth at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
We take our DBIA membership seriously and view the DBIA as a critical facilitator for Design-Build best practices throughout the industry. We also know that this conference is a celebration of the successes achieved and progress made across the nation. We are proud to have had our whole team attend the 2018 DBIA Conference, and we are so pleased to have offered a little extra fun and celebration with our LEGO Crane raffle. We are already looking forward to next year!
