CMGC Win No. 3: City of Bend Newport Corridor

Mission Critical is thrilled to announce that our client, Taylor Northwest, has won the City of Bend’s Newport Corridor Improvement CMGC project in Bend, Oregon! This win marks the third of three successful procurement pursuits for Taylor Northwest as our client, with the other two projects (Desert Woods and Neighborhood Extension Project and the Pilot Butte Canal Piping CMGC) having been awarded in the last several months.

This pipe and drainage improvements project will consist of replacing the failing storm drain system in a densely populated, busy corridor: along Newport Ave. from College Way to 9th St. and continuing down Nashville Ave. to the Deschutes River. As a local contractor, Taylor Northwest carries valuable knowledge of the area and worked with the Mission Critical team to highlight this along with their renowned expertise in underground construction. Mission Critical facilitated focus groups to develop an “Ecosystem Approach” that assured the City that every project element was incorporated into the plans, from stakeholders and local businesses to environmental and phasing options. The level of detail in this Statement of Proposal and the team’s direct benefits to the City won them this competitive project.
